First released in 2011 to celebrate the grand opening of J Brand Tokyo 23 in Japan, the AJ5 Tokyo quickly became iconic for its bold yellow suede upper accented by Wolf Grey on the tongue, side netting, and eyelets, with black hits on the laces, heel, and shark tooth midsole for contrast. Unique details like the embroidered Kanji logo on the side tied the design to its cultural roots, making it one of the most sought-after pairs in the AJ5 lineage.
